Medellín, February 6, 2024 – With great pride, IQ InterQuirófanos announces that it has received the prestigious international accreditation awarded by Joint Commission International (JCI), a U.S.-based organization with the most extensive experience in healthcare accreditation worldwide. For over 50 years, JCI has been dedicated to evaluating quality standards and improving patient safety.

This achievement marks a milestone in the clinic’s history, attained after a rigorous audit conducted between December 9 and 13, 2024. Over five days, JCI auditors thoroughly assessed each of IQ InterQuirófanos’ processes, analyzing critical aspects such as patient care, service quality management, procedural safety, and operational efficiency.

Regarding this achievement, Dr. Juan Carlos Vélez Lara, plastic surgeon and President of the Board of Directors of IQ InterQuirófanos, stated:
