Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon

Dr. José Domínguez has more than 20 years of experience in the field of maxillofacial surgery and facial feminization and virilization procedures. He is one of the regional pioneers in computer-guided orthognathic surgery and the use of zygomatic implants for dental rehabilitation in patients with severe bone atrophy. Within his research career, he has a patent shared with the EAFIT University for a custom-made prosthetic device for temporomandibular joint replacement. He has also been a pre- and postgraduate teacher for more than 20 years at the Schools of Dentistry of the University of Antioquia and the CES University. For 4 years he was a scientific advisor to the Biomaterials Research Group (GIB) of the EAFIT and CES universities.

Approach

Dr. Domínguez, throughout his university teaching career, maintains a constant updating of techniques and new technologies. Most of his procedures are previously planned in specialized software to provide the patient with careful surgical planning and a surgical procedure with very good aesthetic and functional results.
