She has furthered her expertise with courses such as the Jaime León Restrepo Espinal Microsurgery Course at the Universidad de Antioquia, a diploma in Oncological Dermatology from the Universidad Cardenal Herrera in Spain, and a subspecialty in Advanced Techniques in Microsurgical Reconstruction from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México.
